For years, the trampoline has brought fun and laughter to families across the world. Many parents, however, refrain from buying a trampoline for younger children due to injury risks.

It’s been proven that the pros of jumping on a trampoline outweigh the bad. Most injuries occur when there are more than 2 children jumping at one time. That’s why a mini trampoline may just be the answer for you. On a mini trampoline, it’s very hard for more than one child to jump at a time due to its size, so injuries are very rare.

Toddler age children are still developing mentally and physically. Having your child jump regularly on a mini trampoline will definitely be beneficial to your young one.

When shopping for a mini trampoline there are a couple factors that you should keep in mind; your child’s age and size and how much space you have in your home. In this article, I have provided five different mini trampolines and the best one based on my opinion.

Little Tikes Trampoline

mini trampoline review

This mini trampoline is for indoor use only. Provides hours of bouncing fun. Maximum user weight: 55 lbs. Recommended age: 3 – 6 years.

PROS
  • Relatively Easy Assembly.
  • Wide Safety Bar.
  • Very Sturdy.
  • Elastic Webbing, No Springs.
CONS
  • Choking Hazard – Small children tend to bite things, maybe they’re teething, or just like putting foreign objects in their mouths. One small tear (or bite) in the foam on the safety bar, it begins “shedding” all over and since it’s foam, it can be a choking hazard to a toddler age child.
  • Tip Hazard – The placement of the safety bar is generally towards the edge of the trampoline. Most children are monkeys and like to hang from the bar or perform “circus acts” such as flipping and it can tip the trampoline causing it to tip completely over.

Skywalker Trampolines Mini Trampoline

  • Hard to Assemble.
  • Bounce Quality.
  • Black Mat Stains Bottoms of Feet.

SOWOW Kangaroos Kids Trampoline

(Trampoline passes all safety tests for children 3 and above to enjoy, but the safety bar the children are hanging on to require a little bit of upper body strength to hold themselves up. Real age recommendation should be 5 and up.).

  • Sturdy Materials.
  • Elastic Bands, No Metal Springs.

Some of The Benefits of Mini Trampolines for Children

Coordination – Many toddlers are still learning to walk. They may have walked from mom to dad for the first time, but there is still a lot left to learn when they are learning to walk. Jumping helps with muscle control. It also helps with balance and rhythm.

Improved Blood Circulation – Being an important factor in determining your child’s health, ensuring a good circulation of nutrients and oxygen throughout their body is vital. It also helps with digestion.

Bone DevelopmentJumping can strengthen bone density making it harder for them to break a bone later on.

Persistence – While there are many educational benefits to jumping, persistence has to be my favorite. We’ve all tried to master that one special skill on a trampoline, and though it may not have come easily, we kept trying. “Energy and persistence conquer all things.” – Benjamin Franklin.

Without a doubt, the Best Choice Products Kids Round Mini Trampoline is the best mini trampoline. The maximum safety is the best feature about this trampoline. It doesn’t tip because of it’s size and there are no bars that are causing your child to weigh down one side of the trampoline. The enclosed safety netting that surrounds the perimeter of the trampoline provides easy viewing for a parent without having to stand right next to it. Parental supervision is always suggested, so you don’t want to leave your child bouncing while you go in to cook dinner with no visible way to see him or her.

Kids have fun bouncing around on its durable surface without the worry of light-weight, easy-to-break elastic bands. The galvanized metals and UV-resistant netting makes it ideal for outdoor use when the weather permits. It’s light-weight, so when the weather doesn’t permit your little jumper from being outside, bringing it indoors won’t break your back.
